A.M. Best Affirms Ratings of Allianz SE and Most of Its Subsidiaries

A.M. Best has affirmed the financial strength ratings (FSR) of A+ (Superior) and the issuer credit ratings (ICR) of “aa-” of Allianz SE (Allianz) (Germany) and most of its A.M. Best rated subsidiaries. In addition, A.M. Best has upgraded the FSR to A+ (Superior) from A (Excellent) and the ICR to “aa-” from “a” of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company (Fireman’s Fund) (Novato, CA) and its reinsured affiliates, collectively referred to as FFIC. Furthermore, A.M. Best has upgraded the FSR to A+ (Superior) from A (Excellent) and the ICR to “aa-” from “a+” ofAllianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Minneapolis, MN) and its subsidiary, Allianz Life Insurance Company of New York (New York, NY) (collectively known as Allianz Life). Concurrently, A.M. Best has affirmed the issue ratings of Allianz’s debt securities. The outlook for all ratings is stable. (See below for a detailed listing of company ratings).

The ratings reflect Allianz’s excellent risk-adjusted capitalization, strong operating performance, diversified business profile and robust risk management framework.
